If you decide you want to tour the rest of Abaco, you will need to rent a car. One is essential if you want to visit Marsh Harbour, where there are several nice restaurants.

We've found Cornish Car Rental to be quite reliable. They charge $75.00 per day for a small car and $85.00 for a station wagon. If you call from our villa, they will drop off the car to you and pick it up when you are through with it. Just be sure you return the car with about the same amount of gas as when you received the car. Their business is located diagonally across from the Treasure Cay Airport. Remember, they drive on the left in The Bahamas! Always look to the right first, when pulling out into traffic. Also, night driving can be quite hectic, as most cars are American made and their lights go to the middle of the road when dimmed! The good news is that there is not much traffic at night between Marsh Harbour and Treasure Cay.

Tip: Many times we will ask for the car for about 4PM. Then, we'll take it to Marsh Harbour for dinner and on the next day, we'll go up near the airport to the ferry dock and take the ferry to Green Turtle Cay for lunch. You should be at the ferry by 10:25 AM. Go to New Plymouth on Green Turtle Cay and stroll the shops. Then catch the ferry up to The Green Turtle Club for lunch. All of this will still give you ample time to return the car by 4 PM.
